For Etsy, eBay and Shopify sellers
Receipt tracking for online sellers
Selling online means buying supplies, packaging and postage all the time, often in small amounts from many places. Those costs reduce your taxable profit, but only if you can show them. BookFlash keeps every receipt organized so your numbers are ready when the 1099-K arrives.
Sound familiar?
Lots of small purchases
Craft supplies, bubble mailers and label rolls come from different stores and websites every week.
Fees are easy to miss
Platform, payment and advertising fees come out before you’re paid, so they’re easy to forget at tax time.
Inventory is hard to pin down
To work out your profit, you need to know what you spent on the goods you sold. That starts with purchase receipts.

Common questions
- Does BookFlash import my sales from Etsy or Shopify?
- No. BookFlash tracks what you spend through receipts. Use your platform’s reports for sales, and BookFlash for the costs that reduce your profit.
- Can I upload receipts that came by email?
- Yes. Save the receipt as a PDF or image and upload it. BookFlash reads it the same way as a photo.
- What if I sell only a few items a year?
- You still have to report the income, and you can deduct the costs of the items you sell. The Free plan’s 10 receipts a month may be all you need.
- Can I export for my tax preparer?
- Yes, on Pro and Business. Download any date range as a PDF report or a CSV file.
